Behaviour Strategies

When working with a child we need to shift form "won't" to "can't", understanding the child's behavior is important when we are looking at strategies. We need to fully understand what the child can and cannot do vs the wont or the troubled child. When we understand these things then we are better able to help the child. 

Here is a list of some of the "won't" to the "can't do":

Sometimes the child does not fully understand why they can and cant do things. One way that we can help is to look at helping behaviors, it is important to understand how different things can help the sensory sensations. 
This is a difficult area for the child to explain and to know how they are feeling. Sometimes as adults we need to step in and help them. Here is a list of some suggestions:
